The Herrera Elementary School –http://phxschools.org/herrera/– provides a genuine middle school high quality guitar experience training with the skills necessary to take guitar study to High School level. Herrera guitar students participate in numerous performances throughout the year. The Herrera guitar program regularly hosts worldwide artists and educators such as Matthew Denman -Director of Education for the Guitar Foundation of America & Director of the Celedonio Romero Guitar Institute- and the renowned Swedish classical guitarist Johannes Moller.
Dr. Ricardo Paz is the guitar program Director at Phoenix Elementary School District #1 –http://phxschools.org/– and founder of the Herrera Panther Guitar Ensemble.
